Ms. Wedgeworth offers clients her insight on international trade compliance through her expertise in understanding trade controls from an operational perspective as well as a leadership perspective.  Ms. Wedgeworth has successfully served as both an independent trade professional and empowered official for Fortune 500 companies and start-up companies seeking to expand beyond U.S. borders.  Ms. Wedgeworth is highly skilled in navigating clients successfully through the complex U.S. trade laws and regulations, engaging with the Department of State, Department of Commerce, Customs and Border Protection, Department of the Treasury, and other agencies regulating U.S. trade.  Ms. Wedgeworth has extensive experience with the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  She supports and advises her clients in trade compliance matters affecting daily business operations as well as the significant challenges of audits, disclosures, fines and sanctions arising from trade violations.  Ms. Wedgeworth has helped several companies successfully recover from significant enforcement actions brought by the U.S. Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and the U.S. Department of Commerce.  Ms. Wedgeworth is particularly skilled in trade controls affecting the global marketplace for Aerospace and Defense technologies.

Geanina Saponara Pirogan specializes in the multifaceted management of controlled goods licensing, strategy and control, under the U.S., Swiss, European and South East Asian Trade and Sanctions Regulations.

Throughout her career, Dr. Saponara Pirogan has worked, in engineering, operational and manufacturing environments in the aviation and defense sectors, in product automation for mining, cement and other industries.  Her experience has included, but is not limited to: contractual support, drafting and review; strategic planning and integration of trade, export and sanctions controls into operations; end-to-end import and export licensing management, across multiple jurisdictions;  leading classification projects and technical data reviews; creating and delivering training programs; detailed audit, investigation and  remedial action implementation; the development and implementation of Trade, Export and Sanctions Compliance policy,  procedures and operational work instructions.

Matjaž Murovec

Mr Matjaž Murovec worked at the General Financial Office in the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for 27 years before joining EU Partner to Partner export control programme (EUP2P). In his previous job he was responsible for policy, training and enforcement of export control issues. In addition, Mr. Murovec was a member of the inter-ministerial committees for dual use goods, for military weapons and equipment, for strategic goods (chemical goods), for small arms and light weapons (SALW) as well as for restrictive measurement (sanctions) as well as member of different EU and international working groups. With his 24 years of experience in the field of export control, he is supporting the EUP2P programmes (Dual-Use and Arms Trade Treaty) and its activities in various countries and regions (EEC, SEE, SEA).
